John M. Tuhey, a corporate attorney with sixteen years of experience advising companies of all size both domestically and globally. John has spent his career as a key advisor or member of the management team of numerous small, mid and large cap public companies. He regularly counsels clients in areas of complex commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, litigation, bankruptcy, leasing, securities law, antitrust, compliance, employment, board matters and corporate structure. John has significant experience in the areas of commercial dispute resolution, complex commercial transactions, intellectual property licensing and mergers and acquisitions. He has successfully completed more than sixty transactions, which includes directing the sale of Click Commerce, Inc. to Illinois Tool Works Inc.
John makes it a priority to learn his clients business and their needs and his clients value him for being a sound, pragmatic advisor on risks facing their businesses. He also regularly partners with his clients to deliver presentations to his clients about industry trends and legal outcomes.
Prior to starting The Tuhey Law Firm, John was an Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary for Illinois Tool Works Inc. serving the global legal needs for their highly successful automotive segment. Before that John was Vice President and General Counsel for Click Commerce, Inc., Counsel for the Business Development Group at Tellabs, Inc. and numerous management roles at the Chicago Housing Authority.
